Homemade Ketchup

 

Ingredients:

 

1 x 12 oz. can tomato paste

1 cup water

2 tablespoons vinegar

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon curry powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

 

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil on medium-high heat.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer while stirring frequently until flavors have blended. (Add more water for thinner ketchup, add less water for thicker)

Transfer to a glass jar and cool before serving.

½ cup white vinegar

¼ cup water

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon onion powder

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ c celery salt

1/8 tsp of ground cloves

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth

When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat ans simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.

Remove from heat and cover until cool. Chill and store in a covered container.

Makes 1 ½ cups

Homemade Natural Ketchup

Ingredients

1 (6-ounce) can or jar tomato paste

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Kosher or sea salt to taste

tablespoon mustard

2 tablespoons mild molasses, (honey is optional), more or less to taste

1⁄4 cup white wine vinegar

1⁄4 cup water

Directions

In a medium bowl, add all ingredients, and stir until combined; refrigerate in a glass jar with lid. Ketchup will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
